Parboiled rice2 cupssoak for 2 hours
Urad dal - Minapappu1/2 cupsoak for 2 hours
Salt
Water

Method:
  1. Grind rice and dal separately with enough water until smooth
  2. Mix well with salt and leave 8 hours to ferment in a warm place
  3. Once the batter rises, pour idlis and steam for 20 minutes
  4. Serve with coconut chutney
