Water1.33 cups
Vermicelli1 cuproasted
Sugar1/2 cup
Cashewsfew
Raisinsfew
Ghee2 tsp
Cardamom powderpinch

Method:

  1. Cook vermicelli in milk and water on lowest heat, stirring constantly
  2. Add sugar when vermicelli is half cooked
  3. Fry cashews and raisins in ghee separately
  4. When payasam is fully cooked, add the cashews, raisins and cardamom powder
  5. Add some milk to get desired consistency
