Dill Potato Pappu

 Serves: 4 

Dill leaves1 bunch
Potato1 largechopped
Peanuts1/4 cup
Toor dal1/2 cup
Coconut1/4 cup
Pepper1/2 tsp
Green chili1 medium
Jaggery1 tspmore to taste
Saltto taste
Urad dal1 tbsp
Indian seasoningfor tempering
  • Soak toor dal for 15 minutes, then pressure cook with potato, peanuts, and 2 cups of water
  • Saute the urad dal, black pepper, and green chili until slightly browned
  • Grind to paste with coconut
  • Add to cooked dal and potato, adjust salt and jaggery to taste
  • Garnish with tempering and chopped cilantro
