Rava Upma

Serves: 4

Rava1.5 cups
Water4.5 cups
Onion1chopped
Tomato1/2 candiced
Potato1chopped
Gingersmall pieceminced
Lemon juiceto taste
Green chilis2-3 tspminced
Veggies1 cupfrozen
Seasoningwithturmeric

Method:
  • Microwave the potato and boil the water in a separate dish
  • Fry the onion with turmeric, ginger, and green chilis
  • Add tomato to deglaze the pan
  • Add the thawed veggies and cook until they are done
  • Adjust salt and pepper to taste, then add boiling/hot water
  • Once the water comes to a boil again, add the cooked potato
  • Keep stirring while adding rava and do not allow upma to stick to the pan
  • Garnish with lemon juice and chopped cilantro
