| Garlic | 2 large cloves | minced |
| Green chilis | 2-3 | minced |
| Red Gram Dal - Kandipappu | 1/3 cup | cooked for 4 whistles |
| Water | as needed | |
| Salt | to taste | |
| Indian seasoning | ||
| Cilantro | few leaves | chopped |
| Tamarind paste | to taste |
Method:
- Fry garlic and green chilis with seasoning
- Add water, tamarind, dal and cook till it boils
- Garnish with cilantro leaves
