Pepper Rice

Serves: 2

White rice1 cup
Water2.25 cups
Whole pepperfew
Chili flakesfew
Cumin1 tsp as needed
Saltto taste
Cilantrogarnishchopped
Oilas needed
Ghee1 tsp
Method:
  • Cook rice for 3 whistles and allow to cool
  • Coarsely grind pepper, chili flakes and cumin in mortar and pestle
  • Fry spices in oil and ghee
  • Mix with rice, add seasoning and cilantro
