Grated Savory Tofu

For tofu
Tofu10 - 12 ozgrated
Scallions1 bunchchopped
Chilis2 - 3 smallchopped
Garlic3 clovessliced
Sesame seeds1 tbsproasted
For sauce
Soy sauce2 tbsp
Black vinegar1 tbsp
Agave syrup1 tsp
Gochugaru1 tbsp
Toasted sesame oil1 tbsp
Red chili powder1 tsp
Sriracha1 tbsp
Cilantroas neededgarnish

Method:

  • Fry scallions, garlic, and chilis until fragrant
  • Add tofu to the pan. Cook undisturbed for 2 minutes, then stir. Cook, stirring every 2 minutes, until the tofu is golden brown in some spots, a total of 10 to 14 minutes.
  • While that is cooking, make the sauce. Mix all ingredients except cilantro
  • Add the sauce to the tofu once completely browned, toss to coat and take off flame 
  • Garnish with sesame seeds and cilantro
  • Serve with rice or roasted vegetables
