Peas Masala

Peas2 cupsthawed
Onion1.5 mediumchopped
Tomato15 oz can3/4 of can
Bay leaf3 - 4
Clove2 pieces
Cinnamon1 inch
Garam masalato taste
Corianderto taste
Cumin powderto taste
Red chili powderto taste
Saltto taste
Lemon juiceto taste
Coconut3/4 cup
Onion1/2 medium
Tomato15 oz can1/4 of can
Cashews1/3 cup
Poppy seeds2 tsp
Green chili2 - 3 medium
Ginger1 inch
Garlic3 clovesgrind to paste
  • Fry the bay leaf, cinnamon, and cloves in oil
  • Add onion and peas, continue on medium heat until cooked
  • Add the tomatoes, ground paste, and all masala powders
  • Continue cooking and adjust salt and water to taste
  • Garnish with cilantro and lemon juice
  • Serve with vegetable pulao
