| Cabbage | 450g | chopped |
| Chana dal | 1/2 cup | |
| Indian Seasoning | ||
| Cilantro | for garnish | |
| Tumeric | a pinch | |
| Red chilis | 3-4 | |
| Curry leaves | 1 stalk | |
| Coconut | 1/2 cup | |
| Pepper | 1/2 tsp | |
| Cumin | 2 tsp |
Method:
- Soak chana dal for 30 minutes
- Cook cabbage and dal for 2 whistles and allow to cool
- Grind a little of the cooked dal-cabbage mixture with paste ingredients
- Add the paste & water to cooked cabbage and cook on medium for few minutes
- Add tumeric, seasoning & salt along with curry leaves
- Garnish with cilantro and lemon juice
