Cabbage Koottu

Serves: 4 
Chana dal1/2 cup
Indian Seasoning
Cilantrofor garnish
Tumerica pinch
Saltto taste
For Paste:
Red chilis3-4
Curry leaves1 stalk
Coconut1/2 cup
Pepper1/2 tsp
Cumin2 tsp
  • Soak chana dal for 30 minutes
  • Cook cabbage and dal for 3 whistles and allow to cool
  • Grind a little of the cooked dal-cabbage mixture with paste ingredients
  • Add the paste & water to cooked cabbage and cook on medium for few minutes
  • Add tumeric, seasoning & salt along with curry leaves
  • Garnish with cilantro
