Glazed Edamame

Serves: 2

Edamame2 cupsfrozen; with shell
Ginger1/2 tspminced
Garlic1/2 tspminced
Soy sauce1 tbsp
Brown sugar3 tbsp
Water4 tbsp
Red chili flakes1 pinch
Oilfor frying
Method:
  • Microwave the edamame as per package instructions and drain the excess water
  • Fry ginger, garlic and red chili flakes for 1 minute in oil
  • Add all other ingredients (except the edamame) and keep stirring to avoid burning the sugar
  • Once the sauce becomes sticky, toss the edamame in and mix till it is covered with sauce
