Edamame | 2 cups | frozen; with shell |
Ginger | 1/2 tsp | minced |
Garlic | 1/2 tsp | minced |
Soy sauce | 1 tbsp | |
Brown sugar | 3 tbsp | |
Water | 4 tbsp | |
Red chili flakes | 1 pinch | |
Oil | for frying |
Method:
- Microwave the edamame as per package instructions and drain the excess water
- Fry ginger, garlic and red chili flakes for 1 minute in oil
- Add all other ingredients (except the edamame) and keep stirring to avoid burning the sugar
- Once the sauce becomes sticky, toss the edamame in and mix till it is covered with sauce
