Glazed Edamame

Serves: 2 

Edamame2 cupsfrozen; with shell
Ginger1/2 tspminced
Garlic1/2 tspminced
Soy sauce1 tbsp
Brown sugar3 tbsp
Water4 tbsp
Red chili flakes1 pinch
Oilfor frying

  1. Microwave the edamame as per package instructions and drain the excess water
  2. Fry ginger, garlic and red chili flakes for 1 minute in oil
  3. Add all other ingredients (except the edamame) and keep stirring to avoid burning the sugar
  4. Once the sauce becomes sticky, toss the edamame in and mix till it is covered with sauce
