| Ingredient | Qty | Prep |
| Green Gram Dal - Pesalu | 1 cup | |
| Rice | 1/4 cup | soak together overnight |
| Onion | 1 large | chopped |
| Green chilis | 2-3 medium | minced |
| Ginger | 1 inch piece | minced |
| Cumin | 2-3 tbsp | |
| Cilantro | few leaves | chopped |
| Salt | to taste | |
| Water | as needed |
Method:
- Grind the dal and rice with salt and only as much water as needed.
- Let sit for 10 minutes and pour dosa
- Add some of the chopped onion, cilantro, green chili, ginger and cumin as toppings
- Serve with Ginger Chutney, Coconut Chutney or Ginger Coconut Chutney
Notes:
Consistency of batter should be liquid suitable for spreading but not too watery.
