Pesarattu - Green Gram Dosa

Serves: 4

Green Gram Dal - Pesalu1 cup
Rice1/4 cupsoak together overnight
Onion1 largechopped
Green chilis2-3 mediumminced
Ginger1 inch pieceminced
Cumin2-3 tbsp
Cilantrofew leaveschopped
Saltto taste
Wateras needed

  1. Grind the dal and rice with salt and only as much water as needed.
  2. Let sit for 10 minutes and pour dosa
  3. Add some of the chopped onion, cilantro, green chili, ginger and cumin as toppings
  4. Serve with Ginger ChutneyCoconut Chutney or Ginger Coconut Chutney

Consistency of batter should be liquid suitable for spreading but not too watery.
