Milk | 1 cup | |
Ginger | 1 tbsp | minced |
Garlic | 3 cloves | minced |
Green chilis | 2-3 medium | minced, optional |
Garam masala | 2 tsp | |
Coriander powder | 2 tsp | |
Cumin powder | 2 tsp | |
Salt | to taste | |
Oil | 2 tbsp | |
Water | 1.5 cups | |
Sugar | 2 tsp | |
Cilantro | few stalks | chopped |
Method:
- Grind cashews with milk to a smooth paste and keep aside
- Fry onion in oil on medium-high until it becomes transparent
- Add ginger, garlic and green chilis until the onion becomes brown
- Add tomato sauce and spices, keep stirring medium until the oil separates
- Add the cashew paste and water
- Bring to boil on low heat
- Turn off heat and add paneer cubes
- Garnish with cilantro
