Besan Shimla Mirch

Oil3 tbsp
Water1/2 cup or so
Chickpea flour1/2 cupbesan
Cumin powder1 tsp
Coriander powder1 tsp
Red chili powder1 tsp
Saltto taste
Turmeric1/4 tsp
Amchur powderto taste
Brown sugarto taste
Indian seasoningmustard seeds

  1. Roast the besan for 5-6 minutes until fragrant
  2. Add the dry spice powders and salt
  3. Fry green peppers in indian seasoning until almost cooked
  4. Add roasted besan mix and enough water for flour to become slightly damp
  5. Continue cooking on low flame for 5 minutes, add more oil if needed
  6. Serve hot with roti/rice
