Rice1/2 cup
Urad dal1/4 cup
Moong dal1/4 cupyellow
Toor dal1/4 cup
Chana dal1/4 cup
Red chilis4 - 5 
Saltto taste
Drumstick leaves1/2 cup
Fennel seeds2 tsp

  • Soak all dals and rice overnight in plenty of water
  • In the morning, grind them coarsely with only as much water as needed
  • Adjust salt to taste and add fennel seeds plus flax seeds if using
  • Pour ada and sprinkle drumstick leaves, extra fennel seeds and press into batter
  • Flip and cook for a couple of minutes before serving
