| Yogurt | 1 cup | |
| Onion | 1 large | chopped |
| Chayote squash | 1 medium | chopped |
| Cilantro | for garnish | |
| Thiramatha | turmeric | curry leaves |
| For paste: | ||
| Frozen coconut | 1/2 cup | |
| Coriander seeds | 1 tbsp | roasted |
| Ginger | 1/2 inch | |
| Garlic | 1 big/2 small | |
| Curry leaves | 2 stalks | |
| Green chilis | 5 - 6 small | |
| Chutney dal | 1/3 cup | grind to paste |
Method:
- Steam onion and chayote completely
- Add vegetables to seasoning and cook well
- Add ground paste, water, salt and red chili powder (if needed)
- Garnish with cilantro
