Tomato Rasam

Tomato6 - 8 mediumhalved, steamed, peeled and mashed
Wateras needed
Tamarind paste1 tsp or less
Saltto taste
Red chili powderto taste
Indian seasoning

  1. Add garlic and curry leaves to seasoning and fry for few minutes
  2. Add mashed tomatoes, salt, water and red chili powder
  3. Cook until boiling
  4. Add tamarind paste and adjust spices to taste
  5. Add 1 tsp rasam powder if needed
  6. Garnish with cilantro and serve with plain rice
