| Tamarind paste | 1 tsp or less | |

| Red chili powder | to taste | |

Method:
- Add garlic and curry leaves to seasoning and fry for few minutes
- Add mashed tomatoes, salt, water and red chili powder
- Cook until boiling
- Add tamarind paste and adjust spices to taste
- Add 1 tsp rasam powder if needed
- Garnish with cilantro and serve with plain rice
