Potato Koottu

Serves: 4 
Potato3 mediumchopped
Senagapappu1/2 cup
Coconut1 cup
Coriander seeds2 tbspdry roast
Red chilis6 - 7 mediumdry roast
Canola oil1 tsp
Saltto taste
Red chili powderto taste
  • Cook potato and dal for 3 whistles (should be 80% cooked) with plenty of salt
  • Powder coriander and red chilis after roasting
  • Blend to paste with water, coconut and little bit of the cooked dal
  • Add the paste to potato and dal
  • Cook until well done and adjust salt, red chili powder to taste
  • Serve with any dosa
