Pepper Masala Rasam

Tamarindto taste
Jaggeryto taste
Turmericas needed
Wateras needed
For powder
Dry coconut1 tbsp
Toor dal1/2 tbsp
Red chili2 medium
Cumin1 tsp
Pepper1 tspgrind to powder

  • Grind dry coconut first if it's in bigger chunks, then coarsely grind the rest
  • Fry garlic in ghee
  • Add the turmeric and powdered masala, fry well
  • Then add water, tamarind, jaggery, and salt
  • Adjust to taste and add Indian seasoning
