Mezcal Gochujang Pasta

Serves: 4 - 6 

Fusili/Penne1 lbcooked
Onion1 largechopped
Garlic4 clovesgrated
Gochujang4 tbsp
Mezcal/Vodka4 tbsp
Liquid smokefew dropsif using vodka
Crushed tomatoes28 oz can
Heavy cream1 cup
Olive oil2 tbsp
Butter2 tbsp
Parmesanto tastegarnish
Saltto taste
Black pepperto taste
Basilto tastechopped

  • Fry onions and garlic in oil and butter until transparent
  • Add mezcal and gochujang paste, and cook for 5 minutes
  • Then add crushed tomatoes and simmer for 15 minutes
  • Cook pasta in the meantime
  • Add the cream to sauce, adjust salt and pepper to taste
  • Mix in pasta and garnish with parmesan and basil/parsley
