Method:
- Peel the boiled potatoes and set aside to cool
- Fry onions with turmeric and asafoetida in oil along with dal seasoning for a few minutes
- Add ginger, green chilies and dhaniya powder and cook for 30 sec
- Add 2 cups of water, salt and sugar
- Roughly crush the boiled potatoes with hand while dropping into the water
- Make cornstarch slurry with some water and add to the dish
- Bring to simmer and cook on low for 20 min
- Garnish with cilantro and serve with Rava Idli
